Easy Street part 5

This week's Easy Street Mystery step was pretty simple.

Does anyone else have a problem with the fabric bunching up when adding the second wing when chain piecing? If so, how do you prevent it?

As long as it doesn't bunch past the 1/4" point it seems to be OK once you iron it flat.

Can't wait to see every one's progress!

  1. Yes I'm having a lot of problem w that, plus feeling like I am behind, (I am) trying mnot to rush it.I have reverted to pinning to keep them straight.

  2. I turned my blocks around and started stitching from the other end of the square......much easier

  3. using a straight stitch throat plate which just has a small round hole for the needle (rather than one that can be used when doing a zig zag stitch) usually keeps this from happening.

  4. Yes, that happens to me too. I don't worry about it - the units will still work. I hope we are joining units together this week. Merry Christmas.
